The weather insurance policy insurers and their underwriters are not liable for any possible or actual bodily injury or property damage or loss of value to any property for this promotion. The insurance covers weather peril only.

Promotion Details

  • General summary: Goldsmith Co. Jewelers will refund the full purchase price, excluding sales tax, of all in-store and online new merchandise purchases made during the qualifying time frame if it snows at least 4″ on New Year’s Eve. Promotion does not apply to any repair work of jewelry or watches.
  • Qualifying time frame: Jewelery purchases made from November 27, 2011 through December 24, 2011 are automatically qualified for refund.
  • Dates and times of snowfall measurement: 8:00pm on December 31, 2011 – 2:00am on January 1, 2011. New snowfall during that 6 hour period must measure at least 4″ (four inches) or more for refund to be activated and applied to qualifying purchases.
  • Measurement location: Snowfall will be measured outside of the Goldsmith Co. store found at 120 N University Avenue in Provo, UT.
  • Measurement agency: WeatherWatch has been contracted by the insurance company to record snowfall totals and monitor measurement location viability.
  • Refund criteria: Goldsmith Co. will issue refunds for all qualified purchases made between the specified purchase dates if all snowfall criteria are met and verified by the insurance agency. If snowfall criteria are met, Goldsmith Co. will refund the total purchase price—excluding sales tax—for all customers with qualifying purchases.
  • Refund collection: Goldsmith Co. will contact all customers with qualifying purchases within approximately 8 weeks after the measurement date. Customers will receive a check from Goldsmith Co. for the full purchase amount(s) as previously outlined.
