Ben and Rebekah Hale met during the rehearsal process for Phantom of the Opera in Las Vegas. She is a ballerina and he is a singer. They met and dated for a year and a half, then were married in January 2008 in the Las Vegas LDS Temple. The show is still running strong and Ben and Rebekah just celebrated their 1500th performance together.

Ben is from Orem, Utah and Rebekah from Ventura, California. They chose to buy their wedding rings from Goldsmith Co. because of a family recommendation and because Goldsmith Co. ”hands down beat any jeweler in Vegas”. Good luck with the show guys!

Meet Ashley

Ashley

We would like to take some time and introduce our staff, starting with Ashely! Ashley is the Administrative VP here at Goldsmith Co. Some of Ashley’s duties include management of all incoming and outgoing merchandise, managing all Bridal Shows, preparation of executive reports and also runs the Service Department. (So if you have any complaints, please ask for Ashley ) Ashley, in her previous life, was a Junior High School English teacher where she also coached the Cheer team. She also really enjoys riding dirt bikes with her husband.

Ashley came to Goldsmith Co. as a long-time friend of the Feller family. Ashley was “Best Buddies” with Chelan, Wil’s handicapt daughter. Ashley started with Chelan as a Freshman in college and visited her for about an hour almost every week of her entire time at BYU. Chelan loves Ashley more than any of her brothers and sisters. We have always loved Ashley for the service she offered Chelan.

Ashley grew up in Mud Lake, Idaho, where she was a Cheerleader and also was a beauty queen (She competed in Teen Miss, but we like to call her Ms. Mud Lake 2004!) In addition to all of her hobbies, Ashley is quite the celebrity hunter. Every celebrity that has ever been in the store has had the priveledge of having their picture taken with Ashley and giving her their autograph. Kris & Christy Sanders came in today. It was great to see them after 19 years. That was when we first met them, 19 years ago when they were looking for engagement rings. Life has moved forward for all of us and they now live in Burn Oregon, but it was sure great to see old friends after many years. We were happy to help them find a special gift to commemerate their 19 years together, a beautiful 5-stone diamond right hand ring. Here’s to another 19 years, we’ll be here then too!

It’s been a little while in coming, but the Goldsmith Co. Web site has finally arrived. First-time visitors will notice our unique emphasis on taking care of our customers, while you “seasoned” customers will appreciate our attention to detail in capturing the Goldsmith Co. in-store experience.

There’s still a lot more to come on this site over the next few weeks and months, so come back often to see what’s new at Goldsmith Co. There’s also a lot that has happened at the store recently, including a face lift to the building and some new signs. Oh, there’s that little thing about our updated logo and branding, but no need to re-hash the obvious (grin). Pre-Loss Tips

After a jewelry loss, there’s nothing more comforting than knowing we can help you replace what was stolen or damaged. We know it’s not the same as having great grandma’s actual wedding ring, but we can make one that looks exactly like it. (Just make sure you take close-up pictures of anything that you’ll want to get replaced — before it gets stolen. We’re good, but we’re not psychic.)

Homeowner’s Insurance

If you decide to rely on your homeowner’s insurance to protect your fine jewelry, make sure you check with your agent to find out exactly what they will cover. Homeowner’s insurance often have many more loop-holes and much higher deductibles than a Jewelers Mutual Personal Jewelry Policy (No loop-holes and no deductible.)

Appraise Jewelry Often

Getting your jewelry appraised at least every five years is a great habit to get into. If you buy jewelry every year, you may want to do it annually. Key it off your Anniversary or some other (even more) memorable date like Christmas, and you’ll find it’s not that much trouble to get it done.
